Challenges and needs

The project responds to the following identified challenges and needs:

  • diverse application and implementation of hate crime and hate speech concepts within national legislations and policies
  • lack of adequate reporting mechanisms on hate crimes and hate speech operated by state authorities
  • lack of professional legal assistance to victims of hate crimes and hate speech
